Feeling discouraged back in 2015 I broke my fibula and dislocated my tibia. I had multiple surgeries in 14 months found out I had a nerve disease I never knew I had. Spent 3 months in a Nursing Home with a Taylor Spatial frame on my foot. To this day I still have extreme pain! I have also packed on about 65 lbs since all this happened. I'm curious if anyone else might have a similar situation and how they handle their pain or how they might have lost some weight?

Do you have a neurologist who you could consult with on that:? Massage is also helpful for some. Have you tried all the creams and gels available for pain? I find distraction is good for me. I like to get involved in projects that use a lot of concentration so my focus is on the activity. I know it is difficult - just take one day at a time and do the best you can.

No I don't have a neurologist right now. Haven't tried any creams or gels. I'm trying my best to distract myself and keep my mind off everything I'm going through but some days are easier than others!

That is a good approach - get your mind on other things!
