Hello everyone. I'm here because I'm terrified of counselors

Hello everyone. I'm here because I'm terrified of counselors and don't really have any other options. I'll start by explaining what my deal is.

So in 2016 I had a major illness; my gallbladder tried to kill me. I got it out eventually and am pretty much recovered from that, at least physically. At the time, my fiance and I were living in a nice little basement apartment. When I started getting sick my fiance had to dip into his savings to help pay the bills, both for our apartment and my medical bills since I was far too sick to work. I am and always will be grateful for this, but it has pretty much decimated our future. His savings is gone and mine never existed.

In April of 2016, we were kicked out of our apartment through no fault of our own. The management company failed to tell us that we would not, as they promised, be allowed to renew our May lease as the owners of the building were coming back and planning on doing some renovations.

We moved into his parents' basement, where we have been ever since. His mother and I do not get along, and just the sight of her is enough to send me into a downward spiral. His father and brother are not much better, as they like to hover and snoop.

After a few months I had the surgery for my gallbladder removal, and recovery was long and slow but it's finally almost done. I didn't feel comfortable working until I felt fully physically recovered, and by the fall of 2017 I finally did. I applied for several jobs and finally got one, a freight associate at a well-known discount chain. I was lied to about a couple things, but instead of making a big deal of that I asked to be bumped down to part time. Instead of trying to work with me, my manager informed me that everyone who worked there found me negative and annoying. I asked who, and she refused to tell me so I said I would like to give my two weeks notice. She then informed me I could leave right then, so I did.

A few months later, I got a job at a law firm as a clerk. Basically I was the errand girl, and this job was going to be our future, until I got fired from that one as well for "not being a good fit." I now work part time at a vet's office taking care of the boarding animals, but I feel like it's only a matter of time before I lose this one as well. I can't find a second job because no one wants to work with my hours, so I am trying to do freelance stuff from home in my spare time. It's very slow, though, and I feel like one of these days I'm going to just explode. I don't know how, but I also don't know how much longer I can take this bull****.
My car exploded just before Christmas so now I'm driving my mom's car; I am twenty five years old, I clean up **** part time, and I don't even have my own car or place.

@bebobaBetty thank you. Is the economy on the upswing? I'm not arguing, I just don't know anything about it

@scatteredmusician definitely something to consider. And yeah, he is working, full time.
